Senior Club Welcomes Two New Life Members

Congratulations to both Kim Chester & Wayne Hislop on become a Life Member of the South Bunbury Football Club after being Nominated at the Clubs recent AGM.Both Men have done a mountain of work over many years for the club and are both worthy recipients of Life Membership.


Kim has had an 11 year career of football, playing 77 reserves and 82 league games from 1973 -84
he was appointed Bar Manager in 2017 and has held that position till now.
The Bar Manager’s job is a thankless one and Kim has set a very high standard Kim has done a power of work above and beyond the job description
Outline the skills and attributes they have brought to the SBFC
Kim has brought a strong professionalism to the bar operation and has become very popular with everyone for his fair and friendly approach to customers (even at closing time on a Sat or Sun night!)
His co-operation and help during the Covid shutdowns were extremely valuable to the Club.

Wayne has held so many roles for the Club over a very long period of time
Player, Team manager, Interchange steward, Trainer,Volunteer and
Unofficial Club photographer for many years
Wayne was the Club photographer from the early 1980’s through to around 2017. He was required to take all the annual team photographs, The Red and White Balls, Father Christmas days and all social events like Players Revues, Sportsman evenings and luncheons and Cabarets.

Wayne and his family have had a life long association with the South Bunbury Football Club
